Machine operators use heavy machinery or hand tools to complete repetitive manufacturing tasks in production plants, warehouses and workshops. These tasks could include anything from drilling machine parts to assembling and packing components and/or examining products for quality control.
Machine operators are often trained to use specific machines on site. They are also expected to care for the tools they use, loading and/or setting them up each shift and making sure they run smoothly and produce good quality results.
